"can be a hindrance"

definitions, or usages really, provide both artefacts in a stratigraphy, and a major part of the taphonomical process itself, they fossilise themselves with more usage/s, only sometimes instead of the form being kept and the material replaced, the material remains and the form changes, this is most antithetical to definition-based preferences. Not engaging with all this is the hindrance.

The trace becomes an Echo watching Narcissis by the pool.

with the mention of big history I can see why I just must read your every post, I was wondering what the sympathetic magic was... big history is all about reading taphonomy
